'Heaven Is For Real'

I've written a post about this wonderful young man, and his amazing experience, before, but, recently, had a chance to read the book that his father wrote to help share his cool story. It's changed my life, FOREVER! There's not a day that I don't "walk and talk with Him," realizing that He is right there waiting to have Fellowship with us; and...we don't need formalities to spend time "talking" with Him. Please read this book, if it is the last book that you ever pick up. The book is written in a very "user-friendly" format - albeit profound - filled with inspirational messages that Colton received from beyond this life as we know it, here.

Incidentally, there is a thread of a discussion, that weaves, throughout the entire book, about what our Creator looked like, to Colton, and...amazingly, after MANY attempts to get Colton to "commit" to a certain portrait of Jesus, he actually *does* do so...to this wonderful artist, Akiane, whose work I was BLESSED to see, first hand, a couple of years ago; and...the picture of Jesus, that she painted, is who Colton said that he had met. :-)   Please return, after having read the book, and tell me what you thought. Exile: "Kiss You All Over" (The Midnight Special, 1978)

Gotta say: this song STILL runs through my mind, some days, some 30-plus years after I used to listen to it...until I saw the lead singer of this song! I could have done w/out the fricken blue body suit! ["Ralph!"]  OK so...he's got a GREAT set of...TEETH and...a delicious head of hair but...something tells me that he's not going home to a woman! Nuff said! STILL love the song; just won't be looking @ this vid anytime soon! :-/

'The Painted Veil'

The subject matter wasn't, entirely, the most appealing. The movie, however, - as a whole - seemed quite interesting and, wow...I never thought that I would ever want to go to China but...I might be tempted with how GORGEOUS the shots were; so zen and beautiful. And...the era in which the story is set is quite intriguing, as well; to imagine how people felt towards the British and what their purpose for coming was.

I quite liked the characters, as well. The direction of the marriage took me a little by surprise, as well; quite a refreshing turn, actually. OK...I'm not revealing any more; that should be enough of a "carrot!" :-)

'Total Recall'

OK so...to start off, here's a total Dude's movie AND...for someone who doesn't much care for CGI and SciFi, in general, I have to admit that I actually LIKED this movie! And...I can see why dudes enjoy having women in their flicks; 'cuz that would be the only way that they would ever *SEE* a woman in a movie, probably! lol! But...yeah...sure doesn't hurt to include a couple of pretty women! :-)
