Above All - Michael W. Smith

Here is one of my most favorite songs. I get choked up just thinking about God's goodness, every time I hear this song! Hope you enjoy!

Lyrics:

Above all powers
Above all things
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Above all kingdoms
Above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what You're worth

Crucified
Laid behind the stone
You lived to die
Rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall
And thought of me
Above all

PBS Great Performances 'Dream With Me In Concert': Behind...

What an amazingly gifted and beautiful young lady! She'll, no doubt, have a wonderful singing career!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if all of us could unearth our [often] hidden talents at such a young age, so that we might be able to share it with the world until our time on this earth is done? That would be my wish, if I had one wish (perhaps others have gone to their graves stating similar): if I could go back to "then" with what I know, now, and have a "do-over!" Oh, yes...sometimes, I do wish that could be possible!

I hope you enjoy!

This is my most favorite Christian band: Switchfoot. I LOVE their sound...even from 8 years back. Somedays, I just need to hear those guitars cranked up, while I'm driving to wherever I'm going and...I feel all mellow by the time I get there, after having listened to this song! :-D Hope you enjoy!

Lyrics:

Fumbling his confidence
And wondering why
The world has passed him by
Hoping that he's bent for more than arguments
And failed attempts to fly, to fly

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside

Dreaming about providence
And whether mice and men have second tries
Maybe we've been livin' with our eyes half open
Maybe we're bent and broken, broken

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside
Somewhere we live inside
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
Somewhere we live inside

We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than this world's got to offer
We want more than the wars of our fathers
And everything inside screams for second life

We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live for so much more
Have we lost ourselves?
We were meant to live
We were meant to live

Josh Wilson Shares Stories from "Fall Apart"

Stories...

"“Fall Apart” came out of a discussion with a good buddy of mine who was going through a divorce last year. He didn’t want it to happen, was doing all he could do to make it not happen, but he felt helpless, out of control. Right in the middle of it, we had this really amazing conversation, and he said that even though everything was falling apart, he felt God’s presence more than he ever had. He saw how much he needed God. When things are going well, we don’t see how much we need him. We’re not aware. We think we’re doing great on our own. Hard times are a magnifying glass on how much we need him. That’s when we feel God’s presence the most. Remember... He’s close to the brokenhearted, so I guess it shouldn’t really come as a surprise." - Josh Wilson

...that inspired Josh to write this song.

Lyrics:

Why in the world did I think I could
Only get to know you when my life was good
When everything just falls in place
The easiest thing is to give You praise

Now it all seems upside down

‘Cause my whole world is caving in
But I feel You now more than I did then
How can I come to the end of me
And somehow still have all I need
God, I want to know You more
Maybe this is how it starts
I find You when I fall apart

Blessed are the ones who understand
We’ve got nothing to bring but empty hands
Nothing to hide and nothing to prove
Our heartbreak brings us back to You

And it all seems upside down

‘Cause my whole world is caving in
But I feel You now more than I did then
How can I come to the end of me
And somehow still have all I need
God, I want to know You more
Maybe this is how it starts
I find You when I fall apart

I don’t know how long this will last
I’m praying for the pain to pass
But maybe this is the best thing that
Has ever happened to me

My whole world is caving in
But I feel You now more than I did then
How can I come to the end of me
And somehow still have all I need
God, I want to know You more
Maybe this is how it starts
I find You when
You will find me when I fall apart

I Think It's Going To Rain Today - Bette Midler

How I LOVE Bette's BEAUTIFUL voice! So STRONG!

LOVE this song; and...LOVE the piano part (and the pianist does a really awesome job w/that music! Not an easy piece/tempo!)!

Hope you enjoy...

Lyrics:

Broken windows and empty hallways,
a pale dead moon in a sky streaked with grey.
Human kindness is overflowing,
and I think it's gonna rain today.

Scarecrows dressed in the latest styles,
the frozen smiles to chase love away.
Human kindness is overflowing,
and I think it's gonna rain today.

Lonely, lonely.
Tin can at my feet,
I think I'll kick it down the street.
That's the way to treat a friend.

Bright before me the signs implore me:
Help the needy and show them the way.
Human kindness is overflowing,
and I think it's gonna rain today.

Lonely, so lonely.
Tin can at my feet,
I think I'll kick it down the street.
That's the way to treat a friend.

Bright before me the signs implore me:
Help the needy and show them the way.
Human kindness is overflowing,
and I think it's gonna rain today.

Mariah Carey - Without You

Lyrics:

No, I can't forget this evening,
Or your face as you were leaving,
But I guess that's just the way the story goes,
You always smile, but in your eyes your sorrow shows,
Yes, it shows,

No, I can't forget tomorrow,
When I think of all my sorrow,
When I had you there,
But then I let you go,
And now it's only fair that I should let you know,
What you should know,

I can't live,
If living is without you,
I can't live,
I can't give anymore,
I can't live,
If living is without you,
I can't give,
I can't give anymore,

Well, I can't forget this evening,
Or your face as you were leaving,
But I guess that's just the way the story goes,
You always smile, but in your eyes your sorrow shows,
Yes, it shows,

I can't live,
If living is without you,
I can't live,
I can't give anymore,
I can't live,
If living is without you,
I can't live,
I can't give anymore,

No, I can't live,
No, I can't live,

I,
No, no, no, no, I,
I can't live (no, I can't live),
If living is without you (no, I can't live),
I can't live,
I can't give anymore,
Can't live (no, I can't live),
No, I can't live.
