Here we go, again, with the "gender-bending."
Some people might think that it is "mean-spirited" or "not tolerant enough" or "homophobic" but...the TRUTH of the matter is: TECHNICALLY, this PERSON was born...a MALE so...that, automatically, DISQUALIFIES HIM from a 'Miss UNIVERSE' pageant! And...DON'T be a 'Hater' over this fact! IF a person was, say, "altered" in an Olympic category, oh, say for instance, a MAN in a Women's category, would we be supporting that UNTRUTH? I don't think so! Would it be FAIR to ALL the female competitors that have, relentlessly, been training, for YEARS?! No; I don't think so! Why? Because, for one, men are, TECHNICALLY, and PHYSICALLY, created STRONGER!
In the same vein, then, I say: "THANK YOU," to the Miss Universe Organizers, for disqualifying someone who is NOT, TECHNICALLY, AND PHYSICALLY - no matter WHAT is on display - a...um 'MISS!!' :-/ YES...a bit AWKWARD, BUT...IF this person (sorry...calling HIM a 'She' would just be a bit DIFFICULT for me to say...again...because it, um, DISQUALIFIES WHO HE was BORN as!) were to have won the pageant, how HONEST would the Organization have been?! And...how honest was it of this person to have LIED about having been "born a WOMAN" on her registration form?! And people are OUTRAGED?! NONSENSE and SICKENING to see how MANY would rather accept a FAKE than a LEGIT competitor!!!!!!!
Here's a thought: how about SOMEONE coming up with a TRANSGENDERED "female" competition (UPDATE: Check out the video included at the bottom of the article; I just discovered that they DO have such a thing: 'Tiffany International Queen' Competition which is "Striving to advance and support today’s transgender/transsexual, Miss International Queen™ Pageant offers great opportunities for transgender/transsexual from all over the world to present their individual beauty and intelligence in a friendly atmosphere." so...TECHNICALLY, there, ALREADY, IS such a competition! Who knew?! I guess I didn't...since I'm not interesed in such a thing!) because...imagine having such a category, at the 'Miss Universe' competition...like they were talking about a dog pedigree, or something! Well...how ELSE would someone DEFINE the DIFFERENCE to the masses?!
Outrage or not, I AGREE with the Organizers!! In fact, I think that this person should be FINED for KNOWINGLY FALSIFYING the registration and WASTING TONS of people's time and efforts to HELP them try to win this competition! When this competition was created, this "little problem" didn't exist...in that: MEN were not going out and getting PHYSICALLY ALTERED, SURGICALLY, to compete...in a WOMAN'S competition! Either: keep the rules "as is" or CHANGE them, to INCLUDE transgenders, BUT...DO NOT ALLOW a LIAR to even have the opportunity to win with the way the rules are stated, during this competition! And...I'm sorry but...SURGERY DOES NOT a "real GIRL" make; it makes an "ALTERED...BOY!" :-( NUFF said!
UPDATE: Well, my friends...looks like you BOTH get your wish: to look at MEN disguised as WOMEN!! It seems that Donald Trump has a soft spot for trans people (or..."she boys," as one of the interviewers @ the Trans event vid called them! EWWW!) competing in what used to be an American born GIRL event!
I know that, were it turned around, and I was a dude, I sure wouldn't want to have to compete w/a woman who had had herself altered to APPEAR to be a man! It seems pretty FAKE! Oh, but WAIT! I think American men LIKE FAKE!! :-P
Anyway...it's an ODD world and I'm SURE HAPPY that I DON'T have to work at a job like that! They might as well not have any standards, now, because...as you say, Ray, most women are running around w/augmented tits, butts, cheeks, lips, etc. these days, of which I thought the Miss Universe Pageant did NOT allow, so...who knows...perhaps they just ought to "let it ALL hang out" and run with the "anything goes" theme! :-/ Why not let it turn into the usual FREAK SHOW that is American television, anyway!

Aren't you flogging this one a bit hard? More than half the women in the photos we see in the magazines and in films these days are surgically altered with botox or silicon or bags of saline solution,
or whatever. So for a guy to do something like that isn't a whole hell of a lot different. Do those babes go around admitting that they're half plastic? Hell, no!
We're supposed to think those perfectly-round-like-a-bowling-ball breasts were God's gift to lonely little girls. Hah!
Sometimes, I'm glad I'm too old for active duty in the War Between The Sexes. It was ridiculous! The positions are ridiculous, the pleasures are momentary, and the cost is unjustifiable, as some wit once said.
