Ashford & Simpson - Solid
You know what I've been thinking is bizarre, lately? How's about when you walk into a store and hear music that you used to listen to almost 30 years ago! That was what happened to me, today: I was in a store and heard this song; a song I used to LOVE to play!
I think Nickolas is one HOT dude, STILL! He's got some AMAZING eyes and pearly whites! And...I happen to LOVE long hair on men! I think it's WAY SEXY! :-P And, gees...he's pretty TALL, as well! And...to top all that off...he's got a GREAT voice! :-D
Hope you enjoy!

James Blunt- No Bravery from Return to Kosovo
It had been so long since I had listened to James that I had forgotten about this song that speaks of his time in Kosovo.
James Blunt - Annie (Lyrics)
Well...just a little while ago, I set my "pod" (doing an Eo trait, here; leaving off the "i" as he does in re: his..."pad" :-) to shuffle and was listening to all these songs I haven't heard in...forever! I get a kick out of James Blunt's lyrics; they're so...blunt! lol! See if you can't catch the "ha ha" in this one! I'm sure you can!
At any rate, I like this British bloke! He's quite cute and...dang...he was an officer in Kosovo and...I quite like his unusual voice. LOVE the guitars in this piece, as well. Hope you enjoy!
Lyrics:
Annie, you had your name in the bright lights.
I thought I saw your photograph having such a laugh in a magazine,
Did it all come tumbling?
Annie, you were made for the big time.
They said you're a star to be in the NME,
But the walls came tumbling down, down. Will you go down on me?
'Cause Annie you're a star, that's just not going very far.
And all the world will know your name,
And you'll be famous as you are 'cause I'll sing for you.
Annie, would it be nice to be recognised?
And did you practise your autograph but now no one's asked and it's such a shame,
That the dreams are crumbling?
Annie, why aren't you bathed in the limelight?
'Cause I thought that you said you'd be a celebrity several years ago.
Did it all come tumbling down, down. Will you go down on me?
'Cause Annie you're a star, that's just not going very far.
And all the world will know your name,
And you'll be famous as you are 'cause I'll sing for you.
Regina Belle - This Is Love 1989
The 'HopeFUL Romantic' that I am, I think this is my most favorite all-time song. I NEVER get tired of this beautiful song and hearing Regina's beautiful voice.
Hope you enjoy!
Regina Belle - If I Could
Can't tell you how many times I've cried my eyes out at this song! I think it's every parents' wish. Such a beautiful song! Hope you enjoy.
Regina Belle - Love T.K.O.
Regina is one of my most favorite singers in the world. She's got an AMAZING voice. I saw her in the Bay Area too many moons ago to want to admit to! LOVE this song; the bass is wonderful! Hope you enjoy!

Birmingham Jail (Down in the valley) Stir Crazy.
Don't ask my why but...Eo posting 'Danny Boy' made me think of this scene in 'Stir Crazy' where this GREAT voice comes out of this big dude! :-D
Hope you enjoy!

'Inspiration for Lois Lane Dies' (article)
Man! (I mean "Woman!" (snicker, snicker! ;-) I'm a sucker for a true love story and I just found the ultimate one: Joanne Siegel, 2nd wife of Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel died...'Valentine's Day!' The irony of it all:
Joanne was Jerry's inspiration to create 'Lois Lane.' Didn't know that you dudes were actually enjoying a 'Romance' genre comic and later flick, did you now, Boys?! ;-) SWEET!
The other sweet thing? Jerry met Joanne, in the 30's and they didn't marry until 1948 so...sweet that they were, eventually, able to get together! And...it seemed to "stick" because they were together until Jerry passed on in 1999 (some articles had 1996 as the year but, apparently, 1999 was the year he actually passed on!)! Anybody count the duration of that marriage? 51 years, people! Wonderful! A length of time almost unheard of, in this day and age!
At any rate, here are a couple of articles:
here and here.
Earl Grey Tea
I grew up in Canada w/a 'Grandmother' figure, of sorts, in my life who had an English influence on me. I've heard it said that the British don't use milk or cream in their tea, since growing up, but...as a kid, I was told, differently. At any rate, she would make a pot of tea and I would be in Heaven! :-P
If you've never tried "loose-leaf" tea, I highly recommend going to a store that sells it and give it a try. The taste, as noted just a minute ago, is, truly, "out of this world"...especially in light of this fast food/pre-packaged world that we live in!
There are a GAZILLION options in tea but, to me, one that "titillates" the taste buds is 'Earl Grey' and...to me, the stronger the flavor, the better; so...I bought a "double Bergamot" blend and...boy! :-P The funny thing is that I had never taken the time to figure out what the taste was that I loved so much about it but...it quite follows some of my natural "attraction" to citrus...which is the lovely "bouquet" of this blend.
Bergamot, according to Wikipedia (why do I cringe just even beginning that reference, these days?! Joking! I know why!), is a lovely citrus from Italy, mainly. I think I'm going to look further into an essential oil of this because I LOVE its lovely aroma! It would be awesome in a bath! :-P

'Who Was Saint Valentine?'
Well...first off, I'll wish you all a "Happy Valentine's Day!" only because it has become a custom from a LONG time ago, it seems! History doesn't much seem to have much to do with "romance" in correlation to this 'Saint Valentine' Dude BUT...whatever it takes to bring a little "sweetness" into the year, I'm ALL for it! I say that we need MORE of same, ALL OVER THE WORLD, so...IF you feel so inclined, SPREAD A LITTLE AROUND THE WORLD, TODAY, OK?! :-D
And...here is an article that seems to be a start to pondering the mystery around this day! Ironic that this 'Day of Love' seems to actually have been around the occurrence of this 'Saint Valentine's'...DEATH?! Oh MY!
Anyway...I have a little theory that is, um, "arising" out of an e-book and movie that I, recently, listened to and watched: IF the dude, truly, was a man from Rome, I have learned one thing about the city of Rome, from 'Eat, Pray, Love' which came from a conversation that began, while Elizabeth Gilbert was in the first third of her year-long pursuit of peace; while she was in Italy: there was a discussion about a word that could describe various cities across the globe; one being "ambition," for New York. And...the word "SEX" "arose" for Rome; so...perhaps, this was the word given to Rome, being that this was the place from whence this [fill in your research's final analysis of the dude's title!]'s story began; and...possibly how men of this particular city could capitalize on this poor dude's misfortune! So...to turn the sorrowful real story of Saint Valentine's day of death completely on it's, um, "head," the "sex" spin was suggested! Just a thought! :-D
At any rate, it has become a POSITIVE and LOVING thing so...let's not ponder its origin too much and just "roll with it, People!" shall we?! ;-)
Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone! :-D

'First Lady's Advice on Love'
So...I thought I'd take a gander at what the First Lady had to advise all of us to be doing for a happy and loving marriage (or other "relationship") and I think that she gives some great advice:
Laugh with your partner! That's it, Folks! :-D Well...there is, of course, more to it than just laughter (like the fact that she actually shares that The Prez is "very romantic." AWESOME! Spread it around, Mr. Prez, (and not like "someone else" a few terms, ago, in your capacity, before you did! Just BE A SHINING EXAMPLE w/your Missus, to your fellow countrymen!! :-) 'cuz the world needs more romance in it, fer SURE! And...he actually remembers dates like birthdays and anniversaries! Very BIG of him! EXCELLENT! :-D So...I guess I also "heard" "be romantic; and...remember special dates/days that are important to your 'Significant Other.'
She continues that her husband "would do right by giving her jewelry"! LOL! Well...if you're "rollin' in it" (money, that is, and NOT the other! ;-) that is GREAT but also, "some of us" are quite picky about what we wear...IF we "have to" wear jewelry, but...some of you ladies, out there, I'm sure, would just "eat that approach right up!" So...if your 'Significant Other' has spent the time to discover which you would prefer, and the "element of surprise" being the "key to your heart," I think that is AWESOME and say: "GO FOR IT, GUYS!" :-) So...sometimes this has to be spelled out and re-iterated really clearly so: the last thing that I "heard" in this article is "get her jewelry...IF that is her "thing". :-D
Oh and...don't forget to finish the evening off with a romantic dinner for two either "out" or "in;" whichever you both prefer. There are advantages to the latter, guys; ALL your efforts would probably pay off around this time...IF you've known each other for awhile! (I don't want dudes to ASSume that this is a "given" on a blind date! lol! And, alternately, DON'T expect much, the first time, if you haven't been making much of an effort over the years, dudes! Truthfully, I think that most women would prefer some sort of "emotional investment" on your part before you try "digging for treasures." OK? Just work on it and...soon, "the key" WILL be YOURS, again! Or not! Or...I could be totally wrong and you might get "the brass ring" the first try! Just sayin'! Don't want to discourage you! :-D
But, also...IF you are eating in, please decide, beforehand, if one of you (or both! That can always be fun! Dinner might just be awhile longer...especially if there are several, um, "courses" in between the appetizer and the main course! :0) :-) are cooking as women, often, are TIRED of doing this, especially if they do this day in and day out; so...getting both of your favorite take-out is nice, as well. Needs to be a "team" decision, at any rate! ;-)
Enjoy your "lovely" day, everyone! :-)

'Need You Now' - Lady Antebellum
Happy Valentine's Day, y'all! :-D I hope you have a great day w/your loved one(s) (and you can take that whatever way you want! I was just referring to "including family/children" by making that plural!)! :-D
Well...the Grammys are done and I guess this particular album won. They have it linked to the album's title track so...I'm just going to presume that that is the song that got them the win! ;-) OK and...I listened to it and, like, I said that I'm really not into Country music but...I'll be danged; 'Lady Antebellum' sings in this genre and this is a GOOD song, y'all! I "get" why it won! So...I'm guessing that I will have to "eat crow" and add this genre to my forever-expanding palate of music tastes! :-) All I know is...that I LOVE her back-up singer's gorgeous voice and...who wouldn't want 5 men strummin' and drummin' for ya; right girls?! (Dude with the braids: you woulda had me "won over" if you had just left your hair...LONG!) :-D
Hope you enjoy!
And...
Just ran into an interview on Yahoo of this lovely band, as well! Wow! Seems as though they're just starting out! VERY COOL and encouraging! :-D And...it's official: one of the three of 'em claims that "Country music is America's music" so...there you have it! I guess, since I am, now, an 'American,' that I better EMBRACE this genre! Ironic that they should address this very issue in their interview! :-D

'Dave Matthews Band'
LOVE this band! The ENERGY that they ALL put into each performance is AMAZING! Dave's drummer is AWESOME as well as his violinist and sax/clarinet player!
LOVED the song 'Sister.' If more sisters could hear sweet songs like that from their siblings, what a better world it would be, methinks!
LOVE how Dave talks about loving a woman w/out being all crude and gross. Not being afraid to sing about love and commitment to a woman. VERY SEXY! I think men need to hear this from other men's examples. SING IT, Brother! :-D
Hope you enjoy!

The Waltons - Season 1 Intro
Anyone else grow up with fond memories of
having watched 'The Waltons,' every week?
I ADORED John Boy! That was the dude that
I wanted to marry! To this day, I STILL have a
MAJOR CRUSH on the dude! I always LOVED his voice! :-D
I just discovered that my library carries all the seasons, it seems, and I am looking forward to the first season arriving. The "good old days" where families seemed to tolerate more and stick together. :-)

Moose Glacier National Park
And, now, for something that fascinates me: moose! I was at this place in '95. I would sure love to return as I love the great outdoors and all the wonderful animals and other things in nature there are to enjoy.

Excuses Begone ~9 of 13~ Dr. Wayne Dyer
Wowsie! I "ripped" this from Tommy's Blog! First off, thanks to Tommy for featuring Dan Caro and his book. I would like to read that book as well. I LOVE inspirational people!
And...I will watch this clip, often, reminding myself: "no excuses and...no regrets!" :-D
Coldplay - Clocks
'Mr. Intensity,' Chris Martin and Band
I have never seen a more intense artist than Chris! I thought it was during this song that he lost the chair (almost did; did you see him catch it, at one point?) but...it must be another one! He must go through a GAZILLION piano chairs w/that kind of wear on 'em...not to mention what kind of HOLES he must bore into the floor! :-/ Watching him, again, made me want to sit down and watch the entire concert, again...IF I could just find it on Austin City Limits! But...somehow, I wasn't able to so...will just check out whatever songs are on uboob, that they did at ACL.
He must be really proud of Gweneth Paltrow, his wifey, who just did an AMAZING job in 'Country Strong!'
Hope you enjoy!
