My memories of this song are: 4 years old, after having immigrated from Denmark. Listening to this every morning...played off of a reel-to-reel.

"Some" people (hi Tommy! lol!) will chuckle to know that as soon as this song started playing, while at the theater, I couldn't help but start harmonizing w/it! I had forgotten how good this song was...country or not! lol!

I think I just posted the world's LONGEST post of a movie that I haven't even seen, yet! lol! Whatever! I'm about to show you a GOB of AWESOME vids re: this movie and try to convince you to get yer butt outta the house, and take yer Sweetheart on down fer a nice movie, this afternoon! I'm fixin' on going on down to see 'Country Strong,' this afternoon, myself. :-)

From what I have seen, from the trailer (below), and the few interview clips (further below :-) that I have been watching, I think that we're in fer a really nice little story, here!

Ted Bundy Interview - Part 1 of 6

WARNING: VERY TOUGH (and touchy!) subject for men. I don't plan to post a lot of these kinds of "serious" posts, 'cuz I want to shed LIGHT on POSITIVE things but I feel that this is VERY, VERY IMPORTANT:

Eo recently posted a comment on a movie that he tried to watch. The last part of what he posed, "Severely disgusting. I just wonder: what made anybody think that I might like to watch a movie like this? Who would, except for hardened paramedics when the video store was empty of anything else?" made me want to show some examples of what "extreme" looks like and comes to be, when things of this nature are continually being viewed by those in our society who are extremely influential.

This is an interview conducted by Dr. James Dobson, someone whom I have greatly admired and come to trust, over at least a couple of decades. It is a 6-part interview but...I ask that you PLEASE make the effort to sit through the entire thing because there are several key points that I think ALL of us need to become mindful of, in this present day. People think violence in movies doesn't affect us; the images that we subject ourselves to... Think again...

Feel - Robbie Williams

The irony: I no sooner finish writing that I'm not into country and one of my most fave "naughty boys" who is a Britt does this [mostly] "classy," sane [compared to some of his] vid re: a cowboy! Go figure! And...I could feature some pretty CRAZY vids that this dude does but...I think it would take away from this song, just now. So...please enjoy this song. I love his voice and the beat of this song; and...he's pretty easy on a gurl's eyes, as well! ;-)

Tanya Tucker - Without You, What Do I Do With Me?

I confess: I'm a die hard Tanya Tucker fan and I've been one ALL my life! :-P I have never much cared for country music (and many don't particularly classify Tucker as a "true blue" country singer) but there is something about her voice that resonates w/me so much! I'm not usually into the "boo hoo" of country music but...I LOVE lyrics like in this song and to be able to hear her beautiful voice.

Norah Jones - What Am I To You?

Love Norah's voice! The topic of this song is quite sad! I always wonder why men are SO AFRAID of telling their gurl how they feel about them. Why do they do that, I wonder? What's the phobia around all that? Anyway...I'm someone who thinks that loving someone shouldn't have to be a "hush hush" kind of thing between the two. I think it just gets sweeter when both know how the other feels. It's a beautiful thing to love another and to be loved in return. It shouldn't have to be a guessing game; that's just pure torture! :-( So...don't forget to tell your Significant Other that you love them. It's music to the ears and soul. :-) Hope you enjoy the song.

Update: too funny: just after I posted this song, an article came out re: 'Six Ways To Say "I Love You"' and...I just realized...we're a mere month away from that "all-important" 'Valentine's Day' so...don't say that your memory hasn't been "jogged!" ;0) Have fun with it!

Echoes - Part I - Pink Floyd

Come with me on a journey. The first time I heard this band, I was in my teens and...yes...with a bunch of stoners. :-( To make a long story short, I didn't care much for this band, then, because of the memories attached to them. It took me YEARS to be able to hear them w/out "going there," in my mind.

However, had I seen this band, back then, I wonder if I would have recognized how great of a band they really were and became. I know one thing: I just finished wiping the drool off of the table from having watched a young David Gilmour. Holy ** what a DOLL he was, back then, and...I found him to be very much the same, when I saw him on the DVD that PBS was playing, once upon a time! I could not believe the size of the band, for one, much less the light show. It's just AMAZING!

So...stay w/me and watch the 2nd part of this 'Echoes' recording, which, in and of itself, is just an AMAZING piece of historical rock footage so very well preserved! The venue is just incredible as is the amp power and stamina (struggling not to "go there"! lol!) of all of them. Hope you enjoy! I know I sure did! :-P

OK so...now, fast forward some 20-something years and check out what one of their AMAZING concerts used to look like! What I wouldn't have given to have gone to one of those! Wow! I could just sit, watch, and listen to David Gilmour play/sing for DAYS! That dude is one SEXY dude, STILL! Can't even watch him smile and I start to get weak! :-P LOL!

And then, perhaps, you'll see why I am SO THRILLED that they're talking about coming back, after this ending. Anyone coming w/me to a concert, someday?! :-D (Durn! I just saw, somewhere in the comments, that they're scheduled to tour, this year, already. I wonder if that is still true! I probably won't be able to make it, this year. :-(
